On The List : How To Get Away With Murder

Introducing… The ‘On The List’ series – this is where I will preview new television shows that I think should be on your radar.

Network television schedules have been confirmed and extended trailers for the new shows have found their place online. I spent a few weeks digesting all of them and over the next week or so I will introduce you to 5 shows that I am keeping an eye out for.

First up is ABC’s How To Get Away With Murder

This one was an absolute no brainer! This Shonda Rhimes produced drama stars one of my favorite actresses: Viola Davis. Premiering on September 25th at 10pm, its lead-ins are Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal [two of my faves!] which should boast well for ratings. I am DEFINITELY ready for ShondaLand Thursdays! -does the Shmoney dance up and down this post- 🙂

Check out the trailer below:

Per ABC:

The brilliant, charismatic and seductive Professor Annalise Keating gets entangled with four law students from her class “How to Get Away with Murder.” Little do they know that they will have to apply what they learned to real life, in this masterful, sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller.”

P.S. Kerry Washington and Viola Davis in one night! Let us stan for these two beautiful black women, not to mention amazing actresses, leading television shows in prime time slots. Let’s make sure we support them so that these shows can get great ratings and we can continue to see more people of color on our television screens.

Now let me go re-watch episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal, particularly “Vermont is For Lover Too” and “Fear (of the Unknown)” so I can be ready for these Thursdays because I know my pressure is going to be high! #Whew!
