The 5 Best Disney Channel Original TV Shows
I’m in full blown Disney Channel mode. After reading about the movie marathon and setting my DVR, I went on Amazon and poked around to see what DVD’s I could buy, of both the original movies and television shows.
Speaking of television shows, Disney Channel had some fantastic original programming when I was growing up. I can’t vouch for now because I don’t watch the channel. The only show I do swear by is K.C. Undercover which I watch on demand.
So for all of you who aren’t aware of any Disney Channel shows before 2009 or so, allow me to put you up on game.
Here are the 5 best Disney Channel original television shows.
PB&J Otter
This animated series was life. I used to catch this show in the mornings before school. I loved watching the Adventures of the Otter sibling; Peanut, Butter and Jelly. Honestly, if you have or know a child that is under 8 or 10, buy these DVDs.
The Famous Jett Jackson
This show had potential. I am still upset that it didn’t last longer than three seasons.
Kim Possible
“Call me, beep me if ya wanna reach me. When ya wanna page me it’s okay”
You know I’m a sucker for a catchy theme song and this show definitely had it. Another Disney Channel animated series that was done well, it also didn’t hurt that Kim Possible was a pretty kick-ass crime fighter.
That’s So Raven
The Proud Family
You’ve seen me mention this show before as one that had one of best TV show theme songs ever. I loved everything about this show. The Proud Family followed the misadventures of a young Penny Proud; a 14-year-old African American girl who tried her best to navigate her early teen years. This show had heart, humor, and solid storylines. For that, I cannot complain.
