2017 Reading Challenge Mid-Year Check-In
We’re more than half way through the year so I thought it’d be nice to check in on the 2017 reading challenge.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, you can visit the original post HERE and download the form if you want to participate, it’s not too late.
Admittedly, I’ve been slacking quite a bit. If you’ve read my reading slump post then you know my reading habits weren’t the best earlier this year. The reading challenge suffered the most because of that.
Here are the books, from the challenge, that I’ve read thus far:
A historical romance by a person of color: Breathless by Beverly Jenkins
The first book you see when you walk into a bookstore: God Never Blinks by Regina Brett
A Book that has a green cover: The Inheritance by Rochelle Alers
A book written by a celebrity: Around the Way Girl by Taraji P. Henson
Now don’t roll your eyes or have pity on me because I’m not where I should be. Progress is a slow process, and I’m sure I’ll finish this list in no time. I actually books for each category already purchased and/or picked out, I just need to make the time to read.
How far are you in the challenge? Let me know in the comments below!
P.S. Be sure to follow me on Instagram @ theislandreader. I’ll be tracking my progress there!
