‘On The List’ is where I preview new television shows that should be on your radar this upcoming fall season.

From Empire’s Lee Daniels comes what may be my next new favorite primetime soap opera, Star.

Star is one of Fox’s most highly anticipated new shows this season. It tells the story of three talented singers who hope to make it big. Set in Atlanta, it features actresses Jude Demorest, Ryan Destiny and Brittany O’Grady as the lead singers in the girl group. Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt (who has been BAE for a long time) also star in this new soap opera.

With Lee Daniels at the helm, I know we’ll get more than our money’s worth in entertainment, intrigue, and mystery.

You know I love a good drama and Lee Daniels has had my heart for some time now, so I’ll definitely be DVR’ing every episode. If it can give me even half of the drama that Empire does, I’ll be satisfied.
