On The List: Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders
‘On The List’ is where I preview new television shows that I think should be on your radar this upcoming fall season.
Next up on my list is an upcoming CBS spinoff, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
Everyone who knows me will tell you that I love Criminal Minds. On Friday nights, A&E has a Criminal Minds marathon and I am always glued to the television. I look forward to each episode where Hotch tells the team, “Wheels up in 30.” Not to mention, Penelope and Morgan’s relationship is perhaps my favorite on television.
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders is the 2nd attempt at a spinoff. In 2011, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior starring Forest Whitaker premiered but was cancelled after 13 episodes due to low ratings. I actually mentioned on Twitter this past weekend how I was disappointed that the show didn’t last. I watched the season again on Amazon Prime and remembered that I was a fan. However, audiences probably weren’t used to seeing new faces as a apart of the BAU at that time. I think Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders starring Gary Sinise will stand a much better chance. Sinise is best known for his work on CSI:NY. Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders focuses on a division of the FBI who help American Citizens abroad who find themselves in trouble.
There isn’t an official trailer as yet but here’s a video of BTS footage of the backdoor pilot that was on Criminal Minds this season, it explains a bit more about the series.

Tyler James Williams and Alana De La Gaza, two actors I love, also star. Anna Gun who, who was present in that backdoor pilot, will not be star.
There isn’t an official premiere date as yet but Criminal Minds; Beyond Borders will be on CBS later this fall.
