Watch the trailer for 'Suicide Squad'

Now I have to admit that I didn’t know much about Suicide Squad prior to the news that Will Smith and Jared Leto (two of my favorite actors) were starring in this. I knew the premise and remember it being mentioned in the show Smallville once or twice but other than that hadn’t really followed it. However, I have since done my necessary research and even though we know I am more of a Marvel fan, I am here for this film!!

Apparently, footage was leaked after being shown at the 2015 San Diego Comic Con. After the footage circulated, Warner Bros. decided to release the official trailer to the David Ayers’ film.

In a statement, Sue Kroll of Warner Bros. said: “Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday. We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”

Suicide Squad will be released August 5, 2016. I know, I know! That’s a long way from now but I am sure it will be worth the wait!
