Three Horror Books To Read Before Halloween
I don’t celebrate Halloween, but horror books and films have always intrigued me. I am a “scaredy cat” so I am easily frightened. However, that doesn’t stop me from at least taking a peek at the books I know will scare the hell out of me. With Halloween quickly approaching, it’s only right that I highlight three horror books that you should read.
Silence of the Lambs – Thomas Harris
Why? Because it’s Hannibal Lecter. Many of you have watched the film, but the book is the one that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The Amityville Horror True Story – Jay Anson
Why? I almost had a fit watching this film, after reading the book I didn’t sleep well for a few nights. The paranormal experiences the Lutz family had will put anyone on the edge of their seat.
American Psycho – Bret Easton Ellis
Full disclosure: I haven’t read this book, but I DID watch the movie. I have been told by many that the book puts the movie to shame which intrigues me even more. This book delves into the mind of perhaps one of the most famous psychopaths.
Now, DO NOT read these books at night; I cannot be responsible for what you THINK you see when you turn off the lights after you’ve read these books.
