A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read

My friend Alex loves Liane Moriarty’s books and gave me Truly Madly Guilty.

A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up.

I’m not even going to lie to y’all. There are more books on my TBR list than I want to admit right now.

One that’s been on there for a while though is The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav. I first got seeing him on an episode of Super Soul Sundays maybe 5 or 6 years back.

A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten round to finishing yet

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. I know, I know. Many of you are looking like, “what, girl?” I think I got maybe 10 or so pages in and put it down. I’ve told myself I’ll finish it eventually but if I’m being honest, I won’t. I’ve watched the first two movies on TBS to pass the time while I was doing something around the house but it’s not a book or series I’m pressed to read.

A classic you’ve always liked the sound of, but never actually read

One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read

Twilight

I sat through the first Twilight movie, knew it wasn’t for me, and despite attempts from friends before will not read the book. Many love it, I don’t think I would be one of those people.

A book that inspired a film/TV adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet

The Bone Collector

High key, The Bone Collector is probably one of my top five Denzel Washington films. I’ve never gotten around to reading the book but I hope to one day soon.

NBC is even making it into a television series later this year. While I’m a bit skeptical about it being adapted into a TV show, I’ll be watching it.

A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet

Instagram is partially to blame for the many books on my TBR list now. LOL. I’m interested in picking up Golden Child by Claire Adam though.
