Where To Find New Reads - TheIslandReader.com

Last week, I gave tips on how to read more books. You need places to find those books, right? With as many books as I read, both for leisure and the blog, I am a constant hunt for new reads. There’s a reason the pre-order button likes me, and why I’m very rarely without a new book to start reading.

Here are five of my favorite places to find new reads:

Goodreads

“Meet your next favorite book.” Goodreads is a fantastic source for finding new reads. The largest site for readers and book recommendations lives up to its name and reputation. Check out what others are reading and get personalized book recommendations based on your reading tastes.

Social Media

I’m on social media a little more than I should. Twitter and Instagram tend to be my favorites and I make sure to only follow my favorite people on there. A lot of my favorite people tend to be authors and those who love books. I am sure to find a good book or two to add to my TBR pile as I’m browsing through various social media platforms. There’s a reason #bookstagram is so popular.

Author Newsletters

I sign up for all of my favorite authors’ newsletters. Authors tend to break the news of new releases to their email list first. Since I like to be in the know, signing up for their newsletters is the best decision.

Amazon Recommendations

Amazon is BAE. They know what I like and bought, and therefore make recommendations accordingly. I am a faithful daily visitor of Amazon.com. It’s where I get a lot of my recommendations. We’ve been friends for a long time, 80% of the time, I like their recommendations. (Always have to leave a little room for error. )

Book Blogs

I think book blogs are very important, hence why I have one. 🙂
