FROM NEW YORK TIMES AND #1 INTERNATIONAL BESTSELLING AUTHOR J. KENNER comes the highly anticipated fourth novel in the fast-paced series including Release Me, Claim Me, and Complete Me. This sexy, emotionally charged romance continues the story of Damien Stark, the powerful multimillionaire who’s never had to take “no” for an answer, and his beloved wife Nikki Fairchild Stark, the Southern belle who only says “yes” on her own terms.  It’s a new chapter in the life of Nikki and Damien Stark ... Though shadows still haunt us, and ghosts from our past continue to threaten our happiness, my life with Damien is nothing short of perfection. He is my heart and my soul. My past and my future. He is the man who holds me together, and his love fuels my days and enchants my nights. But when tragedy and challenge from both inside and outside the sanctity of our marriage begin to chip away at our happiness, I am forced to realize that even a perfect life can begin to crack. And if Damien and I are going to win this new battle, it will take all of our strength and love ...

I believed I’ve mentioned before that I’m a fan of J. Kenner’s Stark Trilogy. Well, it started as a trilogy but has since branched off into the Stark International series as the two main characters’ friends and siblings have managed to find love.

We’ve gotten a few novellas about Damien and Nikki Stark, and of course, they’ve popped up in the other books but we got short snippets and not a lot of detail. J.Kenner has pleased long time fans with a release of a fourth full-length novel with this super sexy power couple.

Anchor Me begins with the Stark couple in Nikki’s hometown of Dallas. She’s vying for a coveted contract that could catapult her software company to new heights. She’s also there to face the demons of her past and hopefully confront her mother. What happens in Dallas not only brings about a few revelations but sets the stage for the drama and twisty turns that take place in Anchor Me.

Without giving too much away, if you are familiar with this series then you know that readers can expect drama. While there is a good bit of it, it doesn’t feel forced or contrite; which I had feared it may be. Nikki and Damien have literally been through it all and so I wondered how Kenner would up the stakes in this book without going overboard.

I had no reason to worry though because there was more than enough to keep readers and this couple on their toes without threatening to really pull this couple apart. If there’s one thing we know for certain, Damien will never let Nikki go. He’s willing to fight for her, and their relationship, regardless of the cost.

Family is the running theme for this book. Nikki’s mother is still causing problems; she and her father are trying to work their way to some semblance of a parental relationship, and Damien is getting closer to wanting a family of his own while Nikki is still not quite ready.

While the stakes were high when it came to the drama, the romance that we’ve come to know Damien and Nikki for is still there. The Starks were just as sensual, intense, and passionate as we remember them.

Anchor Me was a great addition to the Stark International series, and fans will be pleased with the progress we’ve seen with this couple as we’re allowed another peek into their lives.
