National Reading Month: Ten Books Everyone Should Read
Happy National Reading Month!
With March being National Reading Month, this gives me even more of an excuse to talk about one of my favorite things: books!
To celebrate, here are ten books that I feel everyone should read, in no particular order:
-
“To Kill a MockingBird” by Harper Lee
-
“Lord of The Flies” by William Golding
-
“Gone With the Wind” by Margaret Mitchell
-
“The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini
-
“The Color Purple” by Alice Walker
-
“Annie John” by Jamaica Kincaid
-
“In Cold Blood” by Truman Capote
-
“Their Eyes Were Watching God” by Zora Neale Hurston
-
“The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison
-
“I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings” by Maya Angelou
Just outside my top ten are “Go Tell It on the Mountain” by James Baldwin, “The Help” by Kathryn Stockett and “Animal Farm” by George Orwell.
Honestly, I could have easily made this list to 50 or at least 100 but I kept it simple and stuck to 10. Let me know some of the books that are on your all time must read list. Since March is National Reading Month, be prepared for a number of book posts for you to sift through this month.
