I love destination novels. It’s great to read along while both you and the characters are swept away by the allure and decadence of another country or city.

As a Caribbean girl, it’s only right that my first list about destination romance novels feature places where the water is crystal blue and the sun is always shining.

Pack your bags and get ready for a few days in the sun as we take a trip to the Caribbean with these romance novels.

How Stella Got Her Groove Back – Terry McMillan

Destination: Jamaica

Everyone knows the story. Even if you’ve never read the book, I know you’ve seen the film. Let’s revisit Stella and Winston and by the end, we’ll have an extra pep in our step and maybe a new groove too. 🙂

Maureen Smith takes us to St. Mirabelle in a recent series. Stay With Me is a fun, sexy, and shortish read that will have you trying to find a way to this tropical paradise. I’m hoping Smith releases the next installment to this saga soon.

This list tells me that I definitely need to make a trip to Jamaica soon. I can’t lie, I feel some sort of way that there hasn’t been a romance novel set in the Turks and Caicos Islands as yet. There’s Second Honeymoon from James Patterson but that’s more thriller and suspense than romance. Maybe I’ll be the one to remedy that one day soon 🙂
