Small Town Living is The Way to go in these Romance Novels.

I used to say that I wasn’t a fan of small town romance novels. I didn’t have a particular reason why I just couldn’t connect with them. Fast forward a couple years and looks like I’m eating my words. I love them. Well not all of them – but a good number.  The size of the town doesn’t matter, it’s the content in the novels. I may have just not been reading the right books before.

Small town living is the way to go in these romance novels. Check out a few of my favorite small town romances, along with the publisher’s’ description.

Haven Creek (A Cavanaugh Island Novel) by Rochelle Alers

Location: Cavanaugh Island

Rochelle Alers was definitely the author that made me eat my words. I read everything that she writes so when she brought out this series, I knew I was going to read it regardless.

Home is where the heart is.

Architect Morgan Dane has always lived according to a plan, crossing off her achievements one by one. But when she’s offered her dream job the restoration of historic Angels Landing Plantation on beautiful Cavanaugh Island-Morgan’s life takes an unexpected turn.

Carpenter Nathaniel Shaw once took a big chance on commitment and lost. Needing the healing comforts of home, he returns to Haven Creek to join the family business. Nothing in the small town has changed-except for Morgan Dane. The wallflower he knew in high school has grown into a beautiful woman . . . and stirs feelings Nate isn’t sure he’s ready for.

Together Nate and Morgan find a happiness neither could have predicted. But when secrets from the past come to light, their budding relationship is threatened. Will they play it safe, or risk their hearts to build a life together?

Every Little Thing by Samantha Young

Location: Hartwell, Delaware

Check out my review HERE.

The New York Times bestselling author of the On Dublin Street series returns to Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all and find what you never knew you needed….

Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.

Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.

Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime…

The Hot Spot by Niobia Bryant

Location: Holtsville, South Carolina

I like the Strong men as I’ve noted before. This book was my second favorite in this series behind Hot Like Fire.

For one newly single lady, it’s time to make things hot. . .

When Zaria Ali married her high school sweetheart, she jumped straight into adulthood. But twenty-one years later, her husband has left her for a younger woman, her kids are in college and Zaria is looking to make up for lost time. Who says she can’t be living la vida loca in her forties? And who says she can’t date hot twenty-six-year-old Kaleb Strong?…

Kaleb may be young, but he’s mature and ready to settle down with the right woman. Zaria lightens up his serious side and turns him on like no one ever has. But is there more to them than just explosive chemistry? The only way to find out is to follow his heart, and show Zaria that when it comes to love, age is nothing but a number.
