New York Times bestselling author J. Kenner continues her beloved Stark series with an emotionally charged Stark Ever After novella for Nikki and Damien Stark and the story of their first Valentine's Day as newlyweds. For fans of Fifty Shades of Grey, the Crossfire and Most Wanted series. Happy Ever After is just the beginning... I never imagined that anything could top our honeymoon, but life as Mrs Damien Stark is sweeter than any fantasy. We are forever bound by our love and our desire. His touch is my greatest treasure - and is purely mine alone. Yet no matter where we go, the ghosts of our pasts follow. We can't escape our secrets, or the people who desperately want to bring us down. Even on Valentine's Day, neither of us is safe. I'll do whatever it takes to protect Damien, to fulfill his every need. His kiss is my calling, his passion my truest bliss. The dangers we face, we now face together - and nothing can make me run. Includes a special preview of Say My Name, the highly anticipated first novel in J. Kenner's new trilogy in the Stark series, and its hero Jackson Steele... Find out how it all began for Damien and Nikki in J. Kenner's hot and addictive bestselling Stark series: Release Me, Claim Me, Complete Me, Take Me and Have Me. Don't miss J. Kenner's sizzling Most Wanted series of three enigmatic and powerful men, and the striking women who can bring them to their knees: Wanted, Heated and Ignited.

The Stark trilogy is one of my favorite contemporary erotic romance trilogies out today. This along with the Crossfire and Because You Are Mine series is one that I recommended. This is why I don’t mind the novellas where we get an extra peek into the world of Damien and Nikki.

We first met Damien and Nikki in Release Me, so if you are unfamiliar I suggest you stop reading now. Play My Game finds Damien and Nikki about three weeks after their wedding. They are adjusting to married life and anticipating their first Valentine’s Day together. This is where the title Play My Game comes from, Damien creates a scavenger hunt as a part of her Valentine’s Day present. Trust me, nothing much has changed between these two since we last saw them in terms of their chemistry. Nikki is still all that Damien sees and he is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure she is constantly loved and protected. Damien gives a whole new meaning to the term “spoiling your wife” and I am confident enough to admit that I was a bit jealous at times.

There is also a very interesting blackmail story that is putting a damper on what should be a very happy occasion. Of course since this was  only a novella, that particular story line wasn’t completely wrapped up. As such, I assume we will be getting more #StarkEverAfter novellas with Damien and Nikki soon.

Perhaps the most important part of this novella was the introduction of Jackson Steele, who will be getting his own story in Say My Name. J. Kenner is continuing to give us a peek into the Stark conglomerate by introducing us to new people who are in and around the word that Damien has built. First up is Jackson Steele and Sylvia Brooks, who we know as Damien’s ever efficient personal assistant, in Say My Name which is available for pre-order now. If the sneak peek is any indication, J. Kenner will make sure to keep it just a bit dangerous a midst all the romance.

You won’t normally see me recommend novellas but for Stark International, I make the exception. While I do recommend Play My Game, as I stated earlier, Damien and Nikki’s story begins with Release Me – if you haven’t, I suggest you start with that first.
