She hadn't expected to be drawn so meticulously to another but denying the magnetism that lures her is a futile fight.

As President of VFC Energy, a fortune 500 company, Hunter Valentine is at the top of his game. The renowned bachelor holds no secrets about his risqué rendezvous, and his allegiance is saved for family only. However, when Hunter spots Camilla Augustina, dining alone at the breakfast hut in his building, he can't explain the adulation that runs through his core and shakes his entire world. Lust never weakened him like this, and the inclination of love at first site was silly. But when Hunter decides to prove the sudden rapture is unreal, he may find himself enamored by love.

If you’ve followed this blog for a bit, you may know that I am a huge fan of romance series. A main character has more than two siblings? Sign me up! I absolutely love a good family saga which is why I was happy when I discovered Stephanie Nicole Norris. It seems she may love series as much as I do. I stumbled across her Falling for A Rose series which follows the Rose family. At the time of this post, there were eight books in the series. EIGHT! 8! BE STILL, MY HEART! I was giddy when I realized that. Any-who, while I haven’t finished that series as yet I saw that she started something new, the In The Heart of A Valentine series . I wanted to check out this series in real time so paused my reading to read No Holds Barred.

No Holds Barred features news anchor Camilla Augustina and mogul Hunter Valentine. These two met on her first day as a news anchor for a local TV station, as she recently moved to Chicago. Their first meeting was well, erotic, to say the least. This brief encounter puts them on each other’s radar and unbeknownst to them, they are neighbors in the same high rise building. Literal neighbors as in on the same floor, though Hunter isn’t made aware of their very close proximity until later on. 🙂

These two were the definition of a whirlwind relationship. I liked the fact that although these two progressed really, really quickly, it didn’t seem rushed. The story was believable (except for the end of the Hurricane subplot), we got a good feel for their chemistry and how they would fit together.  There were good secondary characters in this novel as well, Camille’s best friend Corinne was a favorite. I assume we will see more of soon because did I mention that Hunter had siblings? He is a septuplet which means we’re in for a hell of a good time as this series progresses. Let me grab my popcorn and keep my Amazon tab open because your girl will be patiently eyeing the release of the second book in this series, A Risque Engagement.

No Holds Barred by Stephanie Nicole Norris is definitely worth the read.
