The last year for Carmen hasn't been the best... and that's putting it mildly. But things are starting to look up. Especially when she meets Sebastian, a lover of books and an obvious man of her own heart.

From the minute Sebastian locks eyes with Carmen, he knows there's something special about her. And he intends to find out just what that is.

In no time, they discover that their passion for each other just may be stronger than their passion for books.

Where is my Sebastian Kincaid?

A man with a literature degree who owns a very jazzy bookstore? A man who takes you on a date to the city library? SIGN ME UP, goddamnit!

Love By the Books follows the aforementioned Sebastian Kincaid and literary agent Carmen Jones. These two meet when Carmen visits her client at Sebastian’s book store.

This story tells the tale of two book nerds as they fall in love during what is an adorable courtship. I read this book in one sitting one late Sunday afternoon and have not been able to stop talking about it since. There were bookish dates, jazz speakeasies, opera shows, and chemistry that was set the pages on fire. (Hint: the opera show date).

This was a beautiful depiction of love and I cannot stop raving about this book. I’m about to fall down the rabbit hole of Amazon searching for more bookish romance novels.

Want to know how much I love this book? I got past the healthy typos, the fact that debut authors HARDLY ever get multi-million dollar contracts and there was no major conflict. And you all know how much I need conflict in my romance novels.

This was my first read by Té Russ. I have been discovering a lot of great new authors recently, and I could not be happier for it.
