Fall in Love with these Political Romances this Election Season

I am shameless in the fact that I will find a way to tie a romance novel into just about anything. With the US presidential election upon us, I immediately thought political romances. #dontjudgeme

Political romances aren’t a subgenre that I read a lot of and find ones that I actually love, but there a few that capture me that I don’t mind rereading from time to time.

Fall in love with these political romances this election season, and this goes without saying but make sure you are all voting in this upcoming election!

Tall, Dark… Westmoreland – Brenda Jackson

tall dark westmoreland

Olivia Jeffries and Reggie Westmoreland spent an intense night together with their identities unknown. Days later she finds out that the man she slept with is the same person who’s running against her father for Senator. She’s now stuck between a rock and a hard place, she wants Reggie but she also wants to remain true to her father.

Per Amazon:

She had longed for a taste of the wild and reckless. And Olivia Jeffries got her chance when she met a handsome stranger at a masquerade ball. The attraction was instant, the electricity…volatile. But days later she discovered her new lover was none other than Reginald Westmoreland, her father’s most-hated rival. She vowed to resist him further, but Reggie was relentless in his pursuit. He would stop at nothing—not even blackmail—to get Olivia back in his bed. Talk about sleeping with the enemy!

Campaign for Seduction – Ann Christopher

campaign for seduction

Presidential candidate Jonathan Davis can’t afford any distractions in his quest to become the next president. However, Liza Davis is a distraction that he embraces as he’s always had his eye on her, and is perhaps the one woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

Per Amazon:

For journalist Liza Wilson, covering the campaign of presidential candidate Jonathan Davis is a career-making opportunity. She’s up for nightly news anchor, and this story will cinch her spotlight. Plus, she’ll get to see the charismatic senator up close and personal. Only, Liza doesn’t realize just how personal–until she and John give in to a passion that could turn them into tomorrow’s headlines…and derail both their careers.

John’s whole life has led up to this historic moment. He can’t afford to let a breaking scandal destroy all he’s worked for. But when Liza uncovers a secret in his past, he risks losing her, too. And John isn’t a man who likes to lose. Now he’s waging an all-out campaign to win Liza’s love. Because her vote is the only one that counts!

Redemption’s Kiss – Ann Christopher

redemption's kiss

Ann Christopher surely knows her away around a political romance. Redemption’s Kiss follows John’s sister, Jillian, and is a story about second chances just as much as it is a political romance.

Per Amazon:

After Jillian Warner’s much-publicized divorce from her ex-governor husband, Beau Taylor, all she wants is a quiet life—out of the political spotlight. And quiet it is: the heiress and single mom runs a quaint B and B in Atlanta.

But Beau is back, vowing to win her heart. With desire reigniting, Jillian’s more confused than ever. Her seductive ex betrayed her once. How can she ever trust him again?

A near-fatal accident has changed Beau in ways he never imagined. Now his number-one priority is becoming the devoted husband and father he knows he always should have been. He’s determined to atone for the sins of the past and build a new future with the woman he’s never stopped loving. Beau wants Jillian— and this time he’s doing it right.
